The Hip-Hop Summit Denver is an annual celebration of all five elements of hip-hop culture — brought to life in the city that shaped Colorado's scene.
Now in its third year, the Summit is a community-powered, all-day event featuring live performances, DJ battles, b-boy and b-girl showcases, graffiti demonstrations, and cultural programming rooted in the knowledge element.
Rooted in Denver's creative community, the Summit centers diverse local artists, collaboration, and equitable opportunity — celebrating hip-hop not just as music, but as a full cultural movement.

Yes, absolutely. The Hip-Hop Summit is a welcoming, all-ages event. Families and kids are encouraged to come out and experience the culture firsthand — from live art and breaking performances to music and vendor pop-ups. Hip-hop is for everyone.
Yes — the Hip-Hop Summit is free and open to the public. No tickets, no cover. Just come out and be part of the culture.

Yes — we accept submissions from MCs, DJs, b-boys and b-girls, and graffiti artists. Use the Artist Submission option on our contact page. Note that submitting does not guarantee selection; all artists are reviewed by the team.
We have a limited number of vendor and community organization spots available. Reach out through our contact page and select Vendor / Booth to express interest.
The Summit celebrates the four foundational elements: MCing (vocals and lyricism), DJing (turntablism and sound), Breaking (dance and battle), and Graffiti (visual art and lettering). Every element has a place at the Summit.
No — the music is not censored. The Hip-Hop Summit is an authentic hip-hop event and the music reflects that. While the event is family-friendly and all-ages, we do not censor performances. Parents and guardians should use their own discretion when bringing young children.
